JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK’s cross streets is named in his honor.

Originally Called Indio Community Hospital, JFK Has Grown To a 145-bed Acute-care Hospital That Is Part Of Tenet Healthcare California. It Offers a Variety Of Services, Including

  • Emergency care 24/7
  • Orthopedic and joint replacement services using emerging technology
  • Cardiovascular services
  • Maternity care and pediatric services
  • Ambulatory surgery center
  • Imaging services
  • Outpatient Rehabilitation Center

Shift: Days

Hours: 0800-1630

Schedule: 5 shifts per week. Some weekend call required.

Position Description

The Clinical Nurse Manager/Educator (CNM/E) is a Professional Nurse who will assist the

Department Director(s) in the 24-hour responsibility of the day-to-day coordination of and quality of clinical nursing care as well as non-clinical supporting departments for staff and patients both in the hospital and community. He/she manages human resources at the unit level in a cost-effective manner and assists in providing direction in changing workloads during crisis, emergent, and urgent situations. The CNM/E will work with the Department Director(s) in developing, implementing, and/or evaluating appropriate education programs within the hospital and assigned departments; these programs are based on identified needs, quality initiatives, patient population, educational requirements of the staff, and general community education opportunities.

  • Current RN Licenses
  • BSN or Bachelor's degree in related field; or, degree in progress
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS
  • Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience -preferred
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present self in a positive and professional manner
  • Basic computer skills

  • Monitor patient care for quality, implement evidence-based practices, and ensure adherence to nursing standards.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff.
  • Review patient and staff data to measure the effectiveness of care and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with management, physicians, and other departments to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services.
  • Understanding department budgets, expenses, and allocation of resources effectively.
