November's monthly education topic was sponsored by "Nxstage" dialysis. It was a blast!

Posted 7 months ago by Sean Chester in Monthly Education Topics

The November SDAACN monthly meeting (11/1/23) featured an enthusiastic representative from Nxstage dialysis who spoke on the differences between clogging and clotting in CRRT dialysis filters. We enjoyed learning some helpful tips and tricks for safely managing the Nxstage dialysis machine in the ICU setting.

Please join us for our next meeting in December when we will learn about the Ceribell POC EEG monitoring device to help identify seizures in the clinical setting, presented by none other than Mary Kay Bader.

Great Speaker very knowledgeable shared helpful information for both novice and experiences nurses and exciting news about the ability to just change a filter when it's the problem (ie. Clotted ) and not having to change the whole circuit game changer for sure.
